Washington: Sony's flagship phablet Sony Xperia Z Ultra unlocked available in US through company's online store.
Just because Sony hasn't partnered with a U.S. carrier yet to sell its entry into the phablet market with the Xperia Z Ultra LTE it doesn't mean it's not still going to compete with the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and HTC One Max.
The Xperia Z Ultra LTE doesn't ship with a stylus like the Galaxy Note 3′s S Pen, the Z Ultra has built-in stylus support and Sony wants you to bring your own stylus. Thanks to its shatter-proof display and software, Sony has taken the convenient approach of letting you use a standard pen or pencil to use as a stylus if you so choose.
Sony has never been known to have great relationships with U.S. carriers, hence the lack of Xperia's offered through them. The company, however, has loyal fans and it is an expert in displays, cameras, and audio.
Its latest Z series phones have shown Sony is starting to recover that glimmer it once had years ago when it was the Apple and Samsung of consumer electronics. The Xperia Z Ultra LTE is definitely not the smartphone for everybody, but if you want the largest phablet money can buy and want to consolidate both your smartphone and small tablet into a single converged device, the Xperia Z Ultra LTE is a device worth checking out.
